The
government of Cameroon and a consortium of American investors, have
signed a memorandum of understanding relating to the planning, and
construction of pipelines in the country.
According to
the agreement, several national pipelines will be constructed for the
transportation of petroleum products in all ten regions of the country.
The present memorandum concerns the
first phase of the project which consists of a multi product pipeline of
about 377 km from Limbe through Douala, Edea and Yaounde including
additional storage capacities and pump stations.
The agreement was signed between a
representative of the American consortiums and the Minister of Water
resources and Energy, Basile Atangana Kouna,
