Oil firms prosper while the Pygmies lose out

Chad-Cameroon Pipeline project has led oil companies involved to reap substantial financial profits during the first decade of operation (exploitation, transportation). The crude oil has been regularly transported by the pipeline for the world market. In some cases, local communities do not seem to benefit from these activities. Moreover, the living condition of pygmies whose lives have been impacted by the passage of the pipeline is even more worrying.
